The first Hotel M&M opened in 1982 under the name Cabinas Mar y Mar, in honor of the two sisters Maritza and Marta Barrera. Today, it’s a team of approximately 20 people that welcomes you in both our hotels. We take great pride in offering you a personalized service that will make you feel among friends, no matter if you stay for a night or for a month. We want you to have a relaxing, comfortable and memorable stay and we’ll make every effort to make it happen.

About Playas del Coco

Once a small laid-back fishing village, Playas del Coco now is the perfect destination for adventurers and beach lovers alike. Located only 30 minutes from the international airport in Liberia, our little bay is particularly recognized for its vast array of ocean activities including world-class scuba diving, sailing and fishing. Its proximity to numerous beaches to explore, and of course its great nightlife also make it a favorite among local and international visitors.

Being one of the fastest growing coastal communities in the Gulf of Papagayo, Coco also offers all basic services, making it an ideal base for your travels in the region.

I stayed for 5 days in Playa del Coco for diving. I think M&M is an excellent option to stay: Right next to the beach, very cheap, with an open atmosphere so that you can meet people. There’s a simple breakfast for free. The managers, Erika and Nadia are super-friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the airport. I can recommend this place 100%.

Stayed here for a week while doing a bunch of diving in playas del coco and it was great. the rooms were nice and the hammocks and lounge area on the balcony is fantastic. staff were super friendly and really helpful with anything we asked.

I stayed at M&M for almost a month, great view, nice and relaxed atmosphere, great people running the place. The Rooms are clean and private and best of all, its cheap!! You should sdefinetly stay there when passing from Playas del Coco.
